CHASE BAND

I am pleased to share with you this VERY rare (complete)Mp3 of the infamous song "Get it On" by the Band "CHASE"

This was out in America during 1971 reaching Number 8 on the charts  during the week of 6/26/71.

There were rumours that The title of Marc's "Get it On" was changed to "Bang a Gong" because it was considered a rude term. The truth is that they (Reprise Records) felt that 6 months wasn't long enough for the charts to have a single by the same name and that the radio stations might get the two confused.  The saddest part of this story is that the "Chase's" version reached #8 while Marc's only reached #10 on 1/29/72.

Side Note: Bill Chase and three other band members were killed in a Plane crash on 8/9/74 (Lyrics Below)
