                             "The Tiller-Rex Band /Tribute"

What exactly is the "Tiller-Rex" band. Well there are two areas to be covered/x-plained here. The
"Tiller-Rex Band" section of the CD and than the FINISHED "The Tiller Rex Tribute" portion. This includes approx. 20 tracks of Marc Bolan songs covered by various Till Dawn members. A few played by the member along with their respective commercial bands. It was released on March 11th on a limited basis - if you are interested in obtaining a copy the *order info is below.* The CD has a beautiful front & Back cover designed by Dan along with Liner notes by Michel and the CD picture is a lovely nod to the dayes of Marc's original releases.             What started out as just a "bit of fun" has , with alot of work, transformed itself into something IMO only Bolan Fans could or would do !

The Idea, get a bunch of Bolan fans that are musicians and are
in contact with each other (from all around the Globe) thru the Marc Bolan
List "Till-Dawn" and try to do a Marc Cover song. Now remember there was no
studio for everyone to meet up at so 4 Brave souls started out with one basic drum and bass track from the U.K. than the cassette traveled to Vienna (Gerry), Canada (Romany Stew), Long Island (Me) and finally
New York City (Cliff)for the finishing touches.
As each member added their instruments to the basic track it grew
into three songs and from there we started even more tracks with 7 tracks total by the "band" - it was amazing that it worked let alone so well- In the
end Cliff Rubin (of "Sky Blues" fame -Their cover of "Chariot
Choogle" is on the Marc tribute CD "Resurrection of the Warlock") added his
guitar and fantastic producing skills in the studio to put the initial songs
together. With David, Romany Stew & Gerry finsihing off the next bacth of tracks.
